1. Ellie feels uncomfortable because they were all under age and they had done a lot of illegal things since the invasion had happened but she felt like this is the worst

2. The invaders wanted a clean war so no other countries would get involved.

3. In the incident Ellie severely injured two of the soldiers and killed one and she felt sad and bad about her self but she put it behind her.

4. So the soldiers don't have to do the dirty work and so they can colonise the country
